Louis Van Gaal is a manager with a very high reputation across world football.
A man with football coaching brains. But he is not managing any other club at the moment.
This is all because of his hate towards United that he is not back in the touchline yet.
From his managerial career with Ajax, to managing the El Fenomeno, Luiz Ronaldo in Barcelona and also help coaching his country Netherlands to third place in FIFA World Cup 2014, he is a manager elite club wants and that include Manchester United.
The Red Devils sacked David Moyes and hired Van Gaal in what looks to be a promising and challenging mission the manager will ever faced.
He signed a three-year contract with United but was sacked after just one season but still manage to win the FA Cup.
Every football fans knows how and why he failed badly during his Manchester United stint.
He bought the likes of Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao, Luke Shaw, Andre Herrera, Marcus Rojo and there were all flops during his time.
Angel Di Maria was signed with English club record fees and left after just finishing one season out of five that he signed.
Falcao was missing his shooting boots throughout the season and lost its tooth in front of goal.
The players that he bought with are worth £130 million reported by online sports betting, but couldn’t help United qualify for the Champions League tournament, sitting 5th with 4 points adrift from City that season.
Even the FA Cup win at the end of the season couldn’t save his reputation. He and his team was fired very soon afterwards.
So why does Van Gaal hates United so much?
Coming from the manager himself, he said that the players have organized boycott by blaming his tactics boring in public which gave him a surprise and feel the players themselves are starting an organized conspiracy to drive him out.
There is something even worse, Mourinho was instead confirmed as his replacement before the season even end.
You can imagine Van Gaal’s feeling knowing his season is already over when they have not complete every games of the season yet.
Van Gaal is very dissappointed with United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward of not being straight forward and hiring Mourinho behind his back.
He even resent himself for not taking Belgium job before they hired Roberto Martinez.
It seems that United are still paying Van Gaal as long as he is jobless as a manager.
Without thinking about football and rational thinking towards his love of the game, he choose revenge on United by not accepting job so that United will keep paying his contracts off.
Previously, he also said in an interview that he would coach a team in England just to exact revenge on Manchester United.
Things are heating up and one thing for sure, once his contract previously has been paid off and if there is a chance for him to bring down United, it will be one hell of a story to talk about.
Till then, let’s enjoy City dominance in the Premier League and the upcoming Champions League knockout stages where big guns like PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona will fight out to be the best this season.
